We are currently recruiting for Director, Strategic Partnerships to work in the Office of the Principal, Glendon College for this exciting permanent opportunity. You will bring proven experience managing a revenue-generating educational enterprise or in international business development and international recruitment. A superior record of generating new business and building/maintaining client relationships in existing and new market sectors is required. Demonstrated experience in international marketing communications and strategy.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Government, Institutional and International Relations (GIIR), the Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for supporting the implementation of local, provincial, national and international initiatives in support of Glendon’s international student recruitment, academic and strategic plans. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen Glendon’s relationship with French-language schools, colleges, universities and external agencies in order to establish a much stronger presence in the Francophone community.
The Director of Strategic Partnerships will advise the Executive Director on matters pertaining to the expansion of the role of Glendon campus in the provision of academic French-language programs, monitoring progress towards the implementation of Official Language in Education initiatives. In addition will provide professional advice with regards to Glendon’s institutional and international development activities in order to improve York’s and Glendon’s reputation in Ontario, Canada and across the world related to French Language undergraduate and graduate education. In this capacity, the Director of Strategic Partnerships will work closely with Glendon’s Executive Team as well as colleagues at York International and the Office of the Vice-President Academic and Provost.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A minimum of 7 years’ management experience in the international education sector which includes: business and partnership development, management of international education programs and projects and contract/agreement development and negotiation. Experience in developing cross-border relationships and partnerships and major account management an asset. Experience working with French-language community in a minority setting an asset. Proven track record of developing and maintaining successful community partnerships. Hands-on experience moving programs from inception to completion, and knowledgeable in every phase of work from marketing research to strategy development, to objective setting, to performance management, to budget setting, monitoring and maintenance; Experience in new client identification and relationship development/maintenance in the domestic and, in particular, international arenas.
