Bilingual Benefits Services Administration Representative
This position will require successful candidates to work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8 am- 8 pm, Monday to Friday and rotational Saturday shifts from 9 am-5 pm.
As a member of our Benefits Services team, your responsibilities will include:
Responding to written, telephone, email, and walk-in inquiries from plan administrators, plan members and other stakeholders.
Providing timely and accurate information in response to incoming telephone inquiries using an automated telephone system, computer applications, training material and other applicable resources.
Providing information and responding to inquiries from other departments, board administrators and members regarding benefit maintenance and procedure issues, member claim issues, coverage, effective dates and outstanding information. Provides reports as required.
Administering leaves of absence ensuring all required information has been obtained. Contacts the board plan administrator or the Group Life and Disability Claims department if information is incomplete. Invoices individual members, and works with the Finance and Accounting department for individual leave payment purposes.
Monitoring the workflow summary in Ariel for administrative events that require Benefits Services Representative intervention.
Managing and actioning beneficiary forms that are not in good order through and error report.
- Completing administrative tasks that result from requests in the department’s administration email box. This includes reviewing requests from various sources, applying proper contractual limitations ensuring requests meet with plan design schedules, pre-existing condition clauses and plan limitations.This may include triggering events for members to complete in the Plan Member Portal.

A secondary school diploma.
A minimum of one year of experience in group or individual life and health insurance.
The ability to communicate both verbally and in written form in French is required.
